Boetje’s Mustard Takes Silver Medal in Mustard Competition

We wrote about this back in April, but it’s worth a mention again since it showed up in our local newspaper just this past week.  The 2013 World Mustard Competition was held earlier this spring, with the awards ceremony taking place at the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, Wisconsin.  This year, Boetje’s walked away with a silver medal in the “classic hot” category, second only to a spicy Chinese mustard.  More than 300 entries to the contest come from six different countries.  (Bet you didn’t even know that there were Chinese mustard companies, did you?)

Will, who is our President here at Boetje Foods Inc, and his son Harrison attended the awards ceremony in April.  I’m afraid we only got a quick snapshot from the awards ceremony, so you’ll have to forgive the blurriness, but that is Harrison there in the middle, accepting the silver medal on behalf of the company.
